An opportunity exists to take a significant role in developing a food bank in the Northern Territory.
Baptist Care Northern Territory is establishing a venture sourcing food from suppliers which will be provided to disadvantaged individuals and families, through existing emergency relief organisations. Direct food outlets will also be established by Baptist Care.
The manager will assist in the development of the project and be responsible for its ongoing operation. The person will need experience and/or skills in retail management including stock control, liaising with suppliers and management of staff. The manager will be responsible for paid staff, volunteers and Work Experience participants.
A passion for the role, being comfortable with the Christian ethos of Baptist Care, and interested in developing the relationship between this venture, relief organisations and the Darwin Baptist Churches, will be important.
Salary Negotiable, benefits package available.
