New Developments

With the needs of our ageing population increasing, BCS is planning several new state-of-the-art integrated care developments in Sydney and the ACT. As a passionate and innovative Christian care provider BCS is committed to playing its part in meeting the growing needs of an ageing population.

Our new developments will also be built to world-leading environmental sustainabilty standards and incorporate age, disability and dementia friendly design features.

Today, 9 per cent of the Australian population (some 2 million people) is aged 70 years or older¹. This is expected to rise to 13 per cent by 2021 and to 20 per cent (around 5.7 million people) in 2051. People aged 80 years and over currently make up around 4 per cent of the population and this proportion is expected to increase to 10 per cent by 2051².
