At BCS Maranoa Centre – Alstonville, your care is our passion.

Located within easy walking distance of the many services offered in tranquil Alstonville village, Maranoa Centre – Alstonville offers a good climate and warm-hearted community located in a picturesque township.

The Centre provides 88 beds, including high care, low care, dementia care and respite care services.

Low Care

This single storey 44-room facility is set on magnificently landscaped grounds. All low care rooms have ensuite facilities and include emergency call systems. Some rooms have additional unique features including kitchenettes, separate sitting areas and private courtyards with gardens.

High Care

All 20 high care beds have private ensuites, while each high care wing has a TV room and a dining and lounge room. Bedrooms are available in a variety of designs and colour schemes, and are generous in size with ample cupboard and storage space. Each room has provision for television, telephone, computer/internet access and a state of the art Questek Nurse Call system has been installed.  Communal areas have reverse cycle air conditioning and all rooms have heaters and ceiling fans.

Specialised Care

One of Maranoa’s clusters of rooms has been designed with the approval of Aboriginal Elders and priority of admission for this cluster is given to indigenous people.

Dementia and Respite Care

The dementia care unit consists of 25 rooms, divided into high and low care sections, which each have their own TV room, dining and lounge room. All rooms are generous in size with ample cupboard and storage space. Each room has provision for television, computer/internet and telephone access and a state of the art Questek Nurse Call system has been installed with bed sensor features. Communal areas have reverse cycle air conditioning and all rooms have heaters and ceiling fans.  

Maranoa has one low care dementia respite bed in a secure wing and a low care hostel respite bed available for bookings.

All BCS residential centres are served by specialist chaplains committed to enhancing the care of residents and their families.
